⇒ Senior diplomat Indra Mani Pandey has taken charge as the 4th Secretary General of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation). BIMSTEC is a regional organization comprising 07 countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia – Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, and Bhutan. It was established in 1997 and Secretariat in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

⇒ Government of India constitutes Sixteenth Finance Commission and appointed Dr. Arvind Panagariya as its Chairman and Ritwik Ranjanam Pandey as Secretary, which will submit its report by October 31, 2025. Sixteenth Finance Commission was formed under Article 280 of the constitution for five year period starting from 1 April 2026.
